ANTIMONY SULFIDE presents a serious fire risk if exposed to oxidizing agents. Crystals burn with a blue flame when heated in air Mellor 9522 1946-47. Emits toxic antimony and sulfur oxide fumes if heated to high temperatures. Reacts with concentrated solutions of chloric acid with incandescence Mellor Supp. II Part I584 1956.
